MTBE is a strong cancer causing agent, and is water soluble which means any spills easily contaminate groundwater. MTBE has been banned in most places. HOWEVER, there is some great news. a 10% ethanol blend in your fuel replaced MTBE. Ethanol does not pollute like MTBE does, in fact, you "could" drink a small amount of pure ethanol because it's just concentrated grain alcohol. <br />Ed Winklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07299533401041542458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6975161130020685883.post-63916173889031678332015-03-09T13:27:41.165-04:002015-03-09T13:27:41.165-04:00Aruba, nice deal. Ethanol does not come without a cost and a lot of inputs and some lands being farmed that maybe should be left fallow. Regards Kevin in ArubaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
